Users and roles
Employees, roles and granular permissions.
The system supports multiple users with different levels of access, controlled by roles with granular permissions.
Adding employees
- Go to Users → Employees.
- Click "Add employee" and fill in name, email and password.
- Assign them a role: the role determines what they can see and do in the panel.
Roles and permissions
- Roles are managed under Users → Roles.
- For each role you can switch individual permissions on or off: view orders, create products, apply discounts, access reports, change settings, and so on.
- Permission changes apply to every user holding that role.
Typical examples:
- Cashier: access to the POS and to orders, with no access to settings or reports.
- Supervisor: products, inventory, orders and reports, with no access to tax settings or payment gateways.
- Administrator: full access.
Good practice
- Give each employee their own user account — that way the Audit log reflects who did what.
- Assign the minimum permissions needed for each position.
- Sensitive permissions (tax settings, payment gateways, role management) are best kept to the administrator.
