Point of Sale (POS)
Counter sales, cash register and payments.
The POS module records sales directly at the counter of your physical shop, with an interface built for the speed of a till.
Making a sale
- Go to POS in the main menu.
- Find products: use the search bar or scan the barcode.
- Add to cart: click the product, or press Enter when scanning.
- Adjust quantities: with the + / − buttons in the cart.
- Apply a discount (optional): by percentage or fixed amount.
- Apply a coupon (optional): enter the code if the customer has one.
- Select the customer: look up an existing customer or sell as a guest.
- Take payment:
- Pick the method (cash, card, bank transfer, store credit).
- For cash, enter the amount received and the system works out the change.
- Finish: click "Charge" to complete the sale.
- You can print the receipt or send it to the customer.
Cash register
- When you open a shift, the starting cash amount is recorded.
- When you close a shift, the register is reconciled: the system compares what was expected against what was declared.
Invoicing from the POS
If ARCA electronic invoicing is set up, you can issue the electronic invoice with its CAE straight from the sale, without leaving the POS.
AI assistant in the POS
The POS includes the AI assistant: you can ask for products in plain language ("show me the black trainers in size 42") and look up figures without stepping away from the till.
POS sales history
All counter sales are kept under Orders → POS orders, with their detail, payment method and salesperson.
